5-Week or 10-Week Session
Independent Study in Clay
We invite previous students of MSS adult ceramics classes and experienced members of the community to further their own study by enrolling in this group.
There are three Open Studio sessions available for Spring 2025:
Whole Term (10-Weeks): March 3 - May 18, 2025*
Session 1 (5 Weeks): March 3 - April 6, 2025
Session 2 (5 Weeks): April 7 - May 18, 2025*
Students will have the opportunity to meet with Marlboro Studio School Director, David Eichelberger on a bi-weekly basis (day and time to be determined based on collective student & instructor availability) to consult on technique and design, discuss works in progress, and to ask questions.
Participation in Open Studio includes:
Extended access to the studio (except during class meeting times)
Use of MSS wheels and tools
One bag of clay per session, plus glazing and firing
Section of shelving to store works in progress
Bi-weekly meeting with MSS Director, David Eichelberger
This class is open to previous students of MSS adult ceramics course and/or by instructor permission.
Tuition includes one bag of clay, use of wheels and tools, glazing, and firing.
*The ceramics studio will not be available for use from May 2 - 8, 2025.
Skill Level: 3-5, some experience required. Please email us prior to enrolling if instructor permission is needed.
(Skill levels: 1 - Beginner; 2 - Beginner/Intermediate; 3 - Intermediate; 4 - Intermediate/Advanced; 5 - Advanced)
